Getting Started

In this quick getting started tutorial, we will walk you through the first steps to start selling your service and managing your business online using PodiumIO’s software. The very first thing you’re going to want to do after registering with us and logging into the backend is to set a couple settings for your company and personal account.

In the left-hand navigation bar, select “Settings.” Go to “Company,” and fill out as much information as possible, then click “Save” at the bottom of the page. Afterwards, go back to “Settings” and click “Personal Settings.” Fill out this information about yourself.

After filling out these two pages, we’ll set up your integrations. These don’t have to be done now and can be enabled at any point. To set them up now, go to “Integrations” in the left-hand navigation bar. Enable the ones you would like to use.

We are now going to create your first booking page. Click on “Service Pages” in the left-hand navigation bar. Then click on “Booking pages.” Click “Create Booking Page” in the top right. Choose an existing template or choose to create one from scratch/import one. For more details on creating a booking page, please see How can I create a new booking page? Once completed, you’ll be able to see all your booking pages on your landing page. For details on what your landing page is, please see the landing page overview. Once your booking pages are complete, you’re ready to start selling online. Bookings will come into the system, and you’ll be able to see them by going to either “Bookings” or “Calendar” in the left-hand navigation bar. If you have subscription access to Dispatching/Service Providers, once a booking is scheduled, you’ll be able to assign it to your staff (we call them service providers). In order to add service providers, you need to go to “Service Providers” in the left-hand navigation bar and click on the “Add Service Provider” (displayed as a user and a plus sign icon) button in the toolbar above the grid. Once service providers are created, they will show up on the “Dispatcher” page in the left-hand navigation bar. Drag and drop bookings to their row and save in order to assign bookings. Once assigned, these bookings will appear in your service provider’s work calendar, and they will be notified every day at 5AM of their work schedule.
